The Hunt

DLHS offers field hunts, in comfortable pit blinds, and flooded timber hunts from our spacious slough blind.

arkansas mallard duck huntWe're there to take care of all the details of your hunt…decoys, duck calling, dog retrieving, etc. If you wish to call your own ducks, we're OK with that, as well. Your guide will be happy to advise you on how the ducks are circling, wind direction and optimum shooting range. Any input from our guest is always welcome. Your guides will transport you to/from the blind. You will not be burdened with taking a hike to get to your hunting location. In short, your guide is there to do everything for you, nothing at all or anything in between...whatever you wish. You are also welcome to hunt with your own dog, if you like.

We typically wrap-up our morning hunts at 10 a.m., which generally puts you back at our lodge around 11 a.m. At this time, photos can be made at our duck rack, followed by tagging your ducks for transport.
